This is a very important and also difficult part. You start making your homepage and almost finish it but if nobody comes to your homepage you cannot make money at all. You can start promoting your homepage while you are updating your homepage contents because this takes a little while. I am not professional for this so I don't guarantee these will work for you. But you can try these to make people visit your homepage more.
Search engine optimization
This is the process of making your homepage more higher ranking of search engine results to make people find your homepage. There are some ways to make search engines find your homepage more easily. It is necessary to make your homepage more friendly to search engines. Try not to forget these following steps at least!! I am working on these for this homepage too!!
1.put keywords for all your homepage titles
You can put title to all the pages you make so don't forget to put keywords into all the titles
2.insert meta tag
Each page
has a place you can put your homepage keywords and the contents'
descriptions. It is called meta tag. These information is very important
for search engines. Meta tag is located between <head> and </head>
on top of your HTML text. You can insert your homepage keywords and
contents' descriptions there. You can type those information by
yourself or there are also some free service to build meta tag for you.

3.try to use keywords for each page on purpose
This will make search engines recognize your homepage and be also useful to make your homepage more higher ranking of search engines. But don't use too much because search engines might think your homepage is spam.
4.use strong tag for keywords
Search engines recognize strong tag(=<strong></strong>) more important than bold tag(=<b></b>). So use strong tag for important keywords in each page. However do not use too much. It will make the effect more less. For example, if your homepage keyword is Asian food, insert strong tag like <strong>Asian food</strong> in the html text.
5.insert keywords into pictures by using alternative text
Search engines cannot recognize words inside pictures. So insert keywords into the pictures you use by using alternative text. It is going to be like this.
6.
Submit to search engines
After optimizing your homepage try to submit search engines as many as possible!! You can submit each search engine by yourself but this takes a lot of time and energy from you. There are some service you can submit a lot of search engines at once. You can try them, too. However, these do not guarantee your homepage is going to be the top rank of search engines. I am still learning and working on this, too. The only thing I can say is that don't give up and don't think you are wasting your time by working on these.
